talby started in the fall of 1995 when, in a revelatory (read,
drunken) moment, andy and michael decided to record some songs on a jambox. the plan was to embrace spontaneity: press record and go. this idea has survived increasingly weird instrumentation, a transition from jambox-recorded songs to 4-track-recorded songs, and a line-up of about 10 people who have come and gone and come again and gone and so on and so forth. andy, michael, and charlie are currently recording songs for an ep they hope to put out in the spring of 2000. it is the first serious attempt at recording pre-planned songs, so someone might get hurt. watch out.
