In January, 2001, Andy, Michael, and Charlie began recording songs for an EP they hope to put out someday. The songs are based on improvisations that were recorded in 1999 and include a lot more instrumentation than what the band is limited to when they record live and improvised. The titles are "Mesopotamia Metal Man", "Oyster Blood", "The Sun" and "V-Twin Cloud Phone." The recording is being done on Charlie's 4-track in his bedroom in Austin, Texas. Update 04/27/2001: Andy has recorded his vocals for 4 of the 5 songs and 3 of the songs are completely finished and mixed. Update 01/12/2002: Talby has decided to add a few more songs to the EP. Some tracks will come from Talby’s first experimentation with Charlie’s 4-track in 1995 or ’96. Others will be live and improved tracks with overdubbed instrumentation and vocals.
